This is just how good the show is now, folks.
The Sword & Shield are here to serve up a full review of one of the best episodes of AEW Dynamite to date. So much incredible stuff happens, wow, there's so much to get to so let's get right to it.
The show opens with MJF celebrating his win over CM Punk in Chicago, furthering the ever so slow burn for Wardlow and setting up a tag team match with FTR against Punk and a partner of his choosing. While we speculate on who will join Punk, we get AEW debuts from Jay White, and Keith Lee, who looks like he could throw most of the roster into the sun with one hand. Punk chooses Big Mox to team up with, and the result is a barn-burner show-stealing tag classic in the middle of Dynamite. Jade Cargill fits in a quick defense, Serena Deeb completes the first 5 Minute Challenge, and then Hangman Page brings the show home with a main even deathmatch against Lance Archer that hits some bloody highs with plenty of chaos.
Elsewhere, we get an Inner Circle team meeting with a murky conclusion, continued development of the distance between Adam Cole and the Bucks, and whispers of Pentagon Dark.

Sometimes you can't help but sorta feel bad for people who don't like pro wrestling.
Tonight on AEW Dynamite, it's a beautiful night to watch a little wrestling. Hell, a great night to watch a LOT of wrestling.
The Main Event in Chicago of this badboy is a 40 minute blowoff between CM Punk and MJF. It hits the trappings of a classic face and heel wrestling, bringing The show opens with our guy Big Mox against Whiller Yuta as a sub for Brian Kendrick, whose brain has been revealed to be a cup full of crushed ice. Bryan Danielson bookends the segment with a proposition that has to get your juices flowing. Elsewhere, The Kings (Knights?) of the Black Throne take of 2/3 of Death Triangle, Nyla Rose takes on Ruby Soho.
Elsewhere, Dan Lambert and Brand Rhodes throw around some barbs, the AHFO continue hanging out in a stairwell, 58 year old Billy Gunn continued to be a high school bully, Chris Jericho gives himself another nickname, and Hangman Page has a physical confrontation before his deathmatch with Lance Archer.

Sometimes you think hell, maybe I'm being a bit tough on the boys and girls over at the New York Territory so you tune in to a sure-fire, can't-miss, always-entertaining event and turn the old brainski off for a bit. Well, you weren't being tough, woof this is bad!
The Sword & Shield Josh & Zubes are workin' for the weekend, talking a little bit about the WWE Royal Rumble, and then opening up the twitter mailbag to a bevy of questions from every direction.
Listen to the fellas discuss cruiserweight titles, the ideal Mox pilgrimage, finishes we'd change in wrestling history, animal gimmicks, genius bar service, and all other kinds of curveballs from the Wrestling Brain audience. Good luck sleeping after The Fiend fixes your mac book!

Wednesdays with Wrestling Brain. It's just the right thing.
Can you feel the heat of Beach Break? From the tropical shores of Cleveland comes a night of pro wrestling, with thrills and daring spots all over the place.
Dynamite opened this week with a ladder match to unify the TNT Championship, even though that's not really how interim championships work, but nevertheless it was Cody vs Sammy in a match that came with a highlight reel of spots. CM Punk and MJF set a match date after another promo battle, GFY Jericho and PnP had a trios tilt with Wrestling Brain darlings 2.0 and Daniel Garcia, Wardlow stacked two local talents, while Orange Cassidy and Adam Cole turned the lights off in the main.
A good Dynamite, all things considered. Hell, I just love watching TV, you know?

Every fight out of control
It's Wrestling Brain time again, with Josh and The Zubes welcoming Big Jon Moxley back to a jam packed AEW Dynamite.
On tonight's show, Adam Cole & Britt Baker team up against Orange Cassidy & Kris Statlander, CM Punk has a perfect match with Shawn Spears, Malakai Black & Brody King make their tag team debut, Kazarian and Lance Archer have a long match, Serena Deeb takes someone to the woodshed, and Darby & Sting team up against The Acclaimed in the main event.
On the mic, after Moxley touched the show off with a powerful talk from the heart, Cody laid it on thick in a massive promo to challenge Sammy Guevara, Santana & Ortiz stick up for themselves with Chris Jericho, Roppongi Vice reunites, Leylah Hirsch has enough, and The Gunn Club make a statement to Christian,

Ohhhh buddy this one is a wild one.
Join the A E Double Dudes on Wrestling Brain this week to review a whopper of an AEW Dynamite with an off-the-wall edition of the podcast. Comedian and Wrestler Review co-host Dylan Gott joins briefly to talk about Hobbs and big guys who might let you cuck them.
On this week's Dynamite, CM Punk faces Wardlow in an old-school kind of clash, Powerhouse Hobbs and Dante Martin match up, Hangman gets a new title feud, Hikaru Shida and Serena Deeb renew their rivalry, Matt Hardy battles Penta leading to a massive debut, The Acclaimed and Bear Country have a regular ol' tag team title match, and Dan Garcia vs Sammy Guevara main events the show for the interim TNT title.
On the mic, we get another "Storytime with Adam Cole", which leads to the Young Bucks, Best Friends, and a mixed tag being announced, Eddie Kingston steps to Chris Jericho, Arn Anderson and his new tag team receive a challenge from FTR, we get a tag team title announcement, and the women's division gets a little mic time as well.
All that and more, plus about five drinks of brandy in this one, sorry Nasty Casties, but The Zubes had a few and came out swinging. Left it all in so you can enjoy because it woulda been insane to edit around.

It's was a big fight feel for the first night back for wrestling on a classic network: That's right, Wrestling is back on Wrestling Brain Podcast.
Hangman Adam Page vs Bryan Danielson opened the show, providing closure to the first major test in the Cowboy's reign as AEW champion. Plus, we crown a TBS Women's Champion, MJF officially loses to Shawn Dean thanks to a savvy CM Punk, Wardlow snacks on another victim, Malakai Black is challenged by Pillman Jr., and the tag team titles are on the line in the main event between the Lucha Bros and Jurassic Express.

Also. Chris Jericho shows up looking like a spray painted jug of milk before Matt Lee and !2point0 save the day, The Acclaimed lay out a viral challenge to Darby Allin, Adam Cole mentions Jake Atlas. and Aaron Solo utters some famous last words trying to send a message for Hook.
All that plus a game of "That Doesn't Work For Me, Brother" and more, with a huge technical glitch edited out of the first 5 minutes. Enjoy this otherwise moderately problem-free episode ya nasty casties!

You know, if the drink wasn't excellent, it would just be Remy.
The Sword & Shield are back, and I for one am thankful as can be. AEW Dynamite says goodbye to 2021 and goodbye to TNT with a wave 'em home show from Daily's Place, which I would be fine with never seeing another match in for as long as I shall live.
There's a lot of extended tag action this week, with FTR & HFO teaming against Lucha Brothers and Jurassic Express, 2point0 against Eddie & PNP. and the Undisputed Era (do they have a new name yet I should look this up) taking on the full power of Best Friends. Plus, the future of Big Babyface Wardlow continues to be hinted at, and Jade Cargill faces a big test against Thunder Rosa.
Plus a couple promos here and there, but hell, between you, me, and a couple glasses of the St. Remy, who can remember. Luckily we have this recording to all remember together. I think they talked about Hook at least once.
Happy New Year, Brainiacs. Thanks for coming on this ride with us.

RIP to Stephen Sondheim but I'm different...
It's another special edition of AEW Dynamite, as the end-of-year celebration schedule kicks into action with a massive Winter Is Coming event on Wednesday in Texas.
On this one, Bryan Danielson and the champion Adam Hangman Page have a show-opening full hour long match for the title. Another major addition to a crazy run of matches for Danielson and an early reign-defining match for Page to start off his time at the top. The Sword & Shield dig into this one a bunch of different ways, to give it the respect it deserves as another mammoth show-opener than went the distance and then some.
Plus, The Superkliq (and Bobby Fish) tease a holiday surprise next week, The House of Black appears to add a King, Wardlow picks up a W, Serena Deeb and Shida make it a trilogy, Griff Garrison fires up, and MJF goes for a 3-peat of the Dynamite Diamond Ring in the main event against Dante Martin.
